Nouveaux Rendez-vous – Fresh encounters

Who’s afraid of contemporary art ?

Leave your preconceptions in the cloakroom and come and discover the museum’s exhibitions in a roundup of the broad clichés of contemporary art. Learn to unlock the artists’ world, to understand how they create their work and what are their driving concerns.
Pack a punch at prejudice as together we explore this art that is often seen as too easy, too ugly or too inaccessible. Art today is intriguing, disturbing and at times alluring.
An interactive visit for curious people who want to shake off their ingrained stereotypes and learn more about the temporary exhibitions and permanent collections at the MASC.

Three flash visits at 2.30 pm, 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm on 2 November and 2 December 2018, 3 March, 23 March and 7 April 2019

Free, included in general admission price

Nouveaux Rendez-vous – Fresh encounters

“Sound and Artworks” - Voice awakening

A one-hour session of fully mindful voice awakening. By listening to our bodies, our breathing and gazing at the works of art on display, we will release inner tension as we resonate with one another.
Singing, an art of the breathe, is a form of both sensation and self-knowledge. In order to really see and hear, we need to feel the world around us, learning to look at and listen to it.
A time of exchange and sharing through an interactive experiment between the vocalists and the artworks in the exhibition space, it is an opportunity for each participant to be led towards a free and individual vocal expression.
